Its admirable that you are concerned about the marginalized in our society ... dont become one yourself when you can help it. In other words, maximize your potential and be the best you can be; then use your excess income, skills, resources to be engaged in more charitable initiatives. For example, you could take your excess salary and donote to a food bank/soup kitchen in your neighborhood. As well, you could become a mentor to a child around the bend. promise that you will contribute to the childs college fund if the stay in school and get good grades.
