I would go with either topic 2, 3, or 4.
Two would be easy to gather information for (most likely) yet you would not be restrained. Also you could choose an event that interests you that way you don't dread working on the paper as you learn new things.
Three would be semi easy given the fact that your issue would be current. If you choose that direction, pick an issue to focus on that interests you.
ANd Drunk Driving would be pretty restraint free also. Given the fact that you could write so many different things about drunk driving including facts, stories, personal views, Consequences and long term problems of victims.
Anyhow, just remember to pick a topic that semi interests you. Give the essay your all and hope I helped!

My take is that these stories tend to instill the concept that we can choose to initially discern goodness and positivity from our experiences, perceptions and interpersonal interactions.

Only after repeated refutations of these positive thoughts will we tend to turn toward the negative.

But, of course, a PhD in experimental psychology would allow you to fulfill your dream of proving or disproving your personal theories through concentrated studies under laboratory conditions and the acquisition of knowledge emanating from a myriad of formal studies that others have conducted.
