Careers In Property Development
Leonard Said:
how can u get a career in commerical property developement from online having a levels? We Answered:
What are you asking exactly? Try and use spell check. Are you looking at becoming a developer? Do you want to sell this type of property? You need a real estate license to start. Then you need to work with a commercial broker. But if you are looking on buying property and developing it as well as building it. All you need is Money not Love. You will need to be an architect but you can hire those and a building contractor. You need to develop a liaison with the county and the city. You need to have a piece of land commercially zoned for that usage. You need to have a plan to develop it before you buy the land and it has to be approved by the city and county.Stephen Said:
Possible careers - property and finance? Help?We Answered:
Isabella:You're very young and have a lot of experience, that's really good.
I personally think, that something which involves real estate valuations, financing of loans will be an excellent choice.
You'll apply your knowledge, and will have the chance to be with people
As an architectct my opinion is that real state will be fine for you.

Will my degree in economics and accounts help in a career in property development? We Answered:
Of course it will. College has helped you develop a thinking style that you might not realize, and that definitely separates you from people who does not have higher education. You will find it very easy to understand the market and might be able to even predict some things easily an in a short time than any new person in the real estate business and especially without that knowledge,
But that's just one part. As you know already, RE is all about having a good command over the field.

It will help you manage the business - find new customers, find out what they want, maintain the records and do taxes. It also might help you in buying supplies.Regina Said:
Which legal career should i pursue ?We Answered:
I think you will struggle to become a solicitor with a 2:2 degree. It's not a high classification at all. You need at least a 2:1, if not a First as after the Legal Practice Course you'll need to obtain a two year training contract with a firm of solicitors. It's extremely competitive. The LPC will also cost you between £6,000 and £8,000 so if it's only a short term career perhaps try another law related route.Margaret Said:
how to become a property developer? We Answered:
It's good that you are taking an interest in this now so that you can find out loads about it and be prepared by the time you get to buying your first place. You should start by doing your research, watch property development programmes, keep an eye on house prices in the area, maybe try to get a job in an estate agent or building company to get some more info - even a saturday job doing admin would help you get familiar with the laws and stuff like that.As for the actual developing you could look into taking some courses like plastering - if you get houses that just need cosmetic rather than structural work then you will be able to do it all yourself and not hire outside contractors if you can plaster yourself, so you'll save a lot of money. And then if you realy want to get into it you can do plumbing and electrician training. Then once you're old enough and have enough saved up and a good enough job to get a mortgage, you can start off with a run-down place that needs a bit of re-decorating, then move up to places that need massive amounts of work.

Career help needed please (property development)? We Answered:
Unless you have financial/business acumen don't even attempt to get into property development. If it was that easy, everyone would be doing it. You need alot more than knowledge of the environment and building trades which are obviously very important. A very sharp business mind plus the right contacts.Note: To the person who gave me thumbs down, your experience might be different, but the content of my answer comes from my experience (and that of many other people I know, including builders). Your opinion is just different.
To the questioner, any kind of practical experience you can get in the building or decorating trade is incredibly useful, but what I'm trying to say is that if you want to PROFIT from the venture, you need to be aware that factors such as location, marketing and financing are crucial.
