Can any HR experts offer advice?

We Answered:

You might consider browsing the CIPD website (Chartered Institute of people Development) at www.cipd.co.uk. Useful stuff there on leadership and learning.

You are probably intelligent enough! HR specialists are quite good at identifying "bullshitters" so just be yourself. Remember an interview is a two way process but generally you are expected to do 80% of the talking!

You don't make it clear why you are being interviewed? Are you in a redundancy situation?

No problem in you asking in advance what form the interview will take. Good employers generally specify this in advance anyway. It is not about tripping people up but enabling them to perform well and sell their skills.

Wise move? Well, I can't comment really. HR is very good management training especially from a strategic perspective. Many HR trainers are in reality training managers to do their jobs more efficiently and effectively.

Locked in - no reason why you should be providing you can show "added value"; new skills and experience etc..

which job after MBA in marketing? please help & suggest. really worried & upset?

We Answered:

People with Masters of Business Administration degrees have a lot of job possibilities. One option is to teach at the elementary, secondary or college level. Some school administrators have MBAs.
All companies and/or organizations are business entities, for that reason, a lot of opportunities exist(during a good economy). Other jobs include: hospital administrators, executives, managers, and supervisors.

I obtained a MBA last year. I already had a job as a high school teacher. I enjoy my job, however, I also wanted to operate a business. Having a steady job allows me to pursue my business without fear of financial difficulty.

Since you have a job you may want to consider starting a part time business. This will allow you to use your business skills. Read the article listed below to get business ideas. Good Luck! Don't be discouraged. Afterall, you have a job in a very bad economy. Therefore, things are pretty good for you.

Is an MBA TOP 10 (Wharton, Harvard, Stern, Yale, Tuck or Sloan) program interested in...?

We Answered:

I had a 3.0 in my undergrad from a top 5 university, and a 3.7 GPA from a (different) top 5 engineering school for my MS. I got a 700 on the MCAT and was still waitlisted for the UCLA Femba program. On the other hand, when I got in the offered me both a FEMBA or an executive MBA spot.

All you can do is try.
