Post A Level options? Is Uni the only route to a successful career? We Answered:
Hey, Good question. I never went to uni after my A levels and honestly i do really regret it. I wanted to study psychology or criminology but i gave up. Its hard to get a good job without a degree, and with any psychology based career its best, and often completely needed, to have a degree. A lot of the time you'll also need to stay on at uni after your first 3 years for study in your chosen field. You could take a different path with OU and things like that but either way the career you want wont be handed to you without lots more more. Is the main reason you don't want to go uni that you don't want to be away from home? If so maybe you could try and find a uni close to where you live? That way you could live at home and travel to uni. Also if this is the case you have to take into consideration that at some point you will have to leave home, so leaving it until much later and missing out on uni could be a massive waste. On the flip side though I've had plenty of friends this past year who were pushed into uni and have loathed it and some have given up, meaning they have lost money and time. And remember..You don't have to choose right now, you could take a year out. The choice doesn't even have to affect all your life..YOu can choose not to go and then study later in life. In the end its your choice and yours alone, don't let people make the decision for you. I hope this helps :)Edit- Just remember its not the only way despite what your teachers say. Theres plenty of paths for you. My opinion..Take a break and have a year out. Give you time to see life beyond school and let you make your mind up without having to rush :)

Performance review self evaluation?We Answered:
This has gotten very common. It's a chance for you to tout the things you've done well, and don't hesitate. Be honest about areas for improvement. It gives you a chance to have plenty of input to your review. It's a good thing.

Who knows about Queen Elizabeth I?We Answered:
Well, Elizabeth I had all of these... if you want an exaple then i would suggest the the triumph of the Armada, attitude towards Spain and Philip II, her virginity and choice to not marry ( even though her job as queen would have been a lot lighter if she did marry), how Britain grew while she was in reign (in population and also the poor people were treated with more care).Victor Said:
what career should i be looking at?We Answered:
Things to consider:-Role of your career (primary or secondary to family)
-Goals (money, status, satisfaction- what's more important)
-Lifestyle (how do you want to live, how much will that cost)
-Locality (is your job relevant to the place you want to live)
-Hangups (what -can't- you stand. e.g. i hate blood.)
-Demand (you want your employers to fight for you)
These are all -really- important in deciding a career. Look up each aspect in depth and decide from there if your career would fit your ideals.
Don't downplay lifestyle. It occurred later to me that I wanted a certain salary that isn't typical for my profession (but I felt I deserved), I had to go back. A mess.
If you cannot make a decision that really excites you, attend a large university and spend your first 2 years filling core requirements and testing out other subjects. You can be creative and try Botany instead of basic Bio sometimes or Abnormal Psych for a humanity instead of something artsy.
Good luck. You're wise for thinking about this now and getting all the advice you can. Just make sure you follow your own wishes and don't get too caught up in what other people think is a good idea.

Asking experienced web developers for career advice...?We Answered:
I tried the community college run for a bit and they were very outdated in the software they had, so I got my web development degree at ITT. I enjoyed it very much, and even though our main teacher was insane, I still learned a lot. With that said, I dont yet have a job in my field because once I was out of school, I decided I didnt want to develop web apps for the rest of my life, and Im back at ITT for the Bachelors program in computer security so I can go work at the CIA. They hired 3 grads last year, so Im hoping for the best!
As for online teaching, Ive never tried it, but I dont trust it either
