Developing A Career

Janice Said:

working in a construction company to gain experience for real estate developing career?

We Answered:

It depends on what you want to do in real estate. If you want to be a developer, your construction background will be a very nice asset, as well as your accounting/economics background.

I have met a few people that took college courses in some sort of RE field, they all say the same thing, it did not help them prepare for the real world of RE. I would think schooling in marketing, finance or business management would be helpful.

Antonio Said:

What field of study would best suit a career developing advanced prosthetics?

We Answered:

Depends. If your focus is on mechanics, it's a BS in biomedical engineering. If it's organics, it's more likely you'd need a BS in a life science such as biology or, surprisingly enough, animal science, plus at least an MS, if not a PhD.

Laura Said:

How can i get into a career of developing tall buildings and shopping malls?

We Answered:

Well, my husband and I own a construction company that works in high rise as well as strip construction so I know a little about this. However in order to answer your question more info from you is needed. What area of construction are you interested in and what did you go to school for? There are many trade groups and organizations that list job offerings but with out knowing what it is you want to do you will have a hard time finding what you want.

Kurt Said:

why is science very important in developing a career?

We Answered:

most fields today require general understanding of many things in the world around us. The use of tools, machine, computers and making decisions or manufacturig products are realy on solid underatanding of how the real world works.
It is also considered to be part i=of general civilization and culture so that you do not make some stupid comments or questions and prove your ignorance

I had a young girl on a waterski trip and we went to the dam feeding the lake. They were letting water out from both sides of the dam ( the particular dam had a water outlet at both ends of the dam. The stupid girl asked why they were letting water out from two sides (I guess se had only seen dams with one outlet). Well the boys had figured she had an IQ of a river rock and one gibbed: "It's so that the lake stays level". To which the blonde replied "Oh, I never thought of that"
Now that is about as bad as I have seen ... and she had a masters in computer science but no clue to how the world worked in genral

you will be a more interesting person and a more resourceful person if you know more about the worl around you. Knowledge and information is power, it gives yo also a feeling of confidence

Brad Said:

Whats a more promising career pathway, video game developing or radio and/or tv broadcasting?

We Answered:

You should follow your dreams. Always do whatever interests you most in life. Computer games are pretty incredible at the moment, but there is a lot of competition for those jobs. If you are seriously interested in it then you should definitely try to upgrade your skills and get into college and study on some kind of digital or multimedia course, then from there you could progress to university. There are some really good game design courses out there. I don't know where you are in the world but in the UK it seems Abertay University in Scotland has one of the best courses. You can read more about it on their website here: http://www.abertay.ac.uk/studying/find/u…

Good luck! :-)
