how do you see your career developing in the next few years?

Developed your career before having a baby?

We Answered:

Your salary seems like an adequate figure for supporting a child, and having a stay-at-home-dad changes many, many things. Most women put off their careers once their children come into their lives because there is simple no other option than to stay home and watch the child. If your husband can fulfill that role while your child is growing up, you have many more options. You don't have to wait.

Just make sure you're clear to your employer what your intentions are, and your situation. Explain to them that you'd like to have children in the near future, but that you fully intend on returning to your work and focusing on your career because you have a partner who will supervise the child at home.

Women sometimes get the short end of the stick at the workplace because the employer is wary of investing a lot of time or money into a worker who may leave to start a family. Let them know you're with them for the full ride.

Best of luck!
