Two points:

First, isolation is contrary to ingrained human desires because it is not evolutionarily productive, in a manner similar to life-long abstinence. It is a characteristic not selected for, as typically the solitary human would not reproduce - they are not evolutionarily successful.

Second, priests would argue that they are not secluded because they have a relationship with God that is emotional and *interactive* and fulfilling.

That said, I hear you. Do you go to a school of largely like-minded folk? If not, can you transfer? You'd probably find human interaction less trying around your fellow drones. I despised spending time with people until I transferred to a school full of similar people. Yeah, it's not representative of the real world, but you may as well have a good time for a while, and I'm still close friends with a lot of those people 10 years later.

Last thing - f*ck your parents. And for that matter, f*ck Y!A. Who cares what anyone else says?
