Government Career Development Program

Nancy Said:

Career Confusion: PLEASE HELP!! (Continue with computers or switch to climatology?)?

We Answered:

Started out in comp sci. Still do some programming for fun. Right now the language of choice is C# (pronounced see sharp). You can download Microsoft's visual studio for free and start playing with it. It is not that different from C.

If you do not have a family to support, then go with your passion. What I have found is that a lot of my programming skills have been useful with all of the other projects that I have been doing. Climate etc is a growing field, and they make decent money. If you can analyze data and write a program that shows changes and possible corrections with changing certain things (say car emissions), you can contribute, be happy and make more money than you are making now.

The other thing that I have found is that computer people do not always understand the ins and outs of the projects they are trying to complete for others, and that people doing projects rarely have the time or knowledge to write their own programs.

Assume the economy collapses completely and you end up with no money. In hindsight which path would you rather have chosen? If the economy picks up, then it doesn't matter which path you chose, because you will be making money either way.

PLS HELP on Career Path: MPA or MA??

We Answered:

That's an interesting question. I'm going to assume you are aware that there are Master's degrees available in both International Relations and International Development. I'm not sure why you want to receive a Master's and Doctorate in different area's, but I'm sure you have your reasons.

I would say that the MPA is the more useful degree of the two you mention. Especially if you are interested in working in government or NGO's. The MPA will greatly help you get a job in administration within governmental and non-governmental organizations, as they are always looking for qualified administrators. The MPA would give you a great addition to the PhD in International Development.

The MA Poli Sci really wouldn't produce much more background for you on top of the PhD. It's more "academic" while the MPA is more "practical." Additionally, if you pursue a Master's in Political Science, you might as well just do an MA in International Relations, as there's no real reason to do Poli Sci instead if you're going to pursue a PhD in Int. Development.

Good luck! Hope I was able to help out.

Has anyone here investigated what our government illuminati has on it's agenda?

We Answered:

Yes. Its funny how the Illuminati existed for sure and their writings are able to be read. But no one believes. Even if the newer secret societies and elite are not named the Illuminati many have the same goals and money and power to make things happen. Also a book by Mark Dice called Illuminati facts and fiction show how lots of info about them is misinformation but shows much of the true info. HAARP exists but no one seems to notice, no one seems to care. The government/ elite/ illuminati definitely have the upper hand also. They can do anything they want and know people will just write if off as a conspiracy theory. The bigger the evil deed they do the easier it is to get away with since no one believes it can be done.
