Web Developer Career Path

Julio Said:

What does a person (web designer/developer) doing this kind of job do all day?

We Answered:

As a freelance web designer I work on marketing the business a lot. When I get a job I do it. When I finish it i get payed (usually around $100-$225).

When your a freelancer the amount you make is depending on how much business you get.

Confused about career path?

We Answered:

Look at the course listings for each and choose the one that sounds most interesting to you. Any of those degrees will get you to any of those careers. It's really not as big a freak-out deal as you're making it out to be. If you can get some real world experience working in any of those fields, that is always helpful, but the goal after graduation is to get A JOB, to become EMPLOYED, and then when you have an income stream, figure out the next step. I think you're freaking out because you're trying to figure out your whole life based on your major, and it just doesn't work like that in reality. You only need to figure out the next step, and then the next step after that, and so on. The jouney in life is achieved step by step. You only cause yourself grief trying to jump ahead and shortcut with one giant leap!

How do I fix my career path?

We Answered:

You can help yourself by getting some up to date certifications in areas of interest. Computers have changed a lot since 1999.

Good luck!

How do I a web developer climb the corporate ladder and make the high life?

We Answered:

Upgrade your education with an MBA. Make it known to your employer that you intend to upgrade your career whether it be with them or another employer that hires you after your MBA is completed.

How is SAP as a career.?

We Answered:

SAP is Enterprise Resource Planning software. It does accounting and a whole heck of a lot more. Lots of huge companies use it. A future in SAP is pretty bright, I'd say.
