We Answered:

I was so perfect in my working, that my boss in previous company don’t allow me to grow. As I read lot of books, I was in the belief that sooner or later I will get my due. But it did not happen. I had offer from other Department many times but I did not think it proper to leave my department and boss. Had I started playing politics against a bit my boss, he himself would have given my due. But I choose right path and never indulged in petty politics and backstabbing. Despite of my positive attitude and contented nature, I started getting frustrated seeing less qualified and talents people getting promoted. At the time of resignation, my MD assured me to give me due promotion and take me on fast track to retain me. But boss of my 9 years came in the way and start demotivating and harassing me. I thought it better to change the job.

So my value system, bookish knowledge, lack of guile, my refusal for petty politics gossiping and backstabbing, restrict me. In a way, I restrict myself.

All said and done, I have peace of mind.

career devlopment would be the steps you would take to progress through your career. ie admin to staff to senior to manager.... and so on.
workforce probably relates more to developing yourself inside of those steps
