Learning & development will always help to enhance you professional (an maybe personal life). By learning new skills; and by keeping existing ones up to date; you are ensuring that you can do your exisitng job to the best of your ability.
By learning new skills outside of your exisitng roles you are developing your career prospects as you will be able to develop into more advanced or specialised roles; normally on more money.
Generally the more that you learn and the more qualifactions that you get the more attractive you are to an employer and the more you will earn.

yes. because my current job is my dream job. before i got here though, i've been to 4 companies already and the longest that i stayed in a company was only for eight months...

now, i am happy with everything. my salary is okay, the working environment is nurturing, my boss is kind and supportive, my job is challenging but enables me to grow in all aspects of my life...

well, just look for a company that best complements you. there is no perfect company but there is one company that is best for you. in my past jobs, i never hesitated to resign once i felt that the job or the company is not for me because i don't want to be stuck in a job that i am unhappy in.
