If you have years of experience, then they will help you find a position and the company that hires you will pay the free with a catch: you will need to stay with that company for 1-2 yrs. or else you will be responsible for payment in full to refund the firm.

Career counselors are different. They advise you on different careers, have services to offer (ie, resume writing, cover letter, etc.) and can help you in your own job search.

An often overlooked resource for finding a job is this: the yellow pages of the phone book. Look up an area of interest, and begin calling to see if the company is hiring at the present time, or in the near future.
