What is a community outreach worker?

We Answered:

Many times, community outreach workers are social workers, but you don't always have to be a social worker to be a comunity outreach worker. It's a very broad term, so it's hard to tell you all about it. Simply put, an outreach worker is one who goes out to work with people. They will go to churches, community centers, homes, grocery stores, shelters, wherever their clients would be. Some outreach workers go under bridges to work with people who live under them! They usually help people sign up for and receive services, like food, medical or stuff like that. Some workers have specific goals, like the ones who hand out condoms or do needle and "works" exchanges to help keep the new aids cases down in IV drug users or prostitutes, or the ones who hand out food to people on the streets. Some have religious goals. I guess the point of an outreach worker is that they go to the people they work with instead of those people having to go to them.

Does Anyone know anyting about Professional Career Development Institute?

We Answered:

Ashworth University is not recognized- if you hang this diploma up, people may laugh at you. Even worse, you won't get financial aid (no matter what they tell you) and the fact that it's not a real diploma could cause problems with your business (ie. he told me he had a degree in computers, but it's from a worthless college).

Don't be fooled by this, check the school out and you'll find a lot of problems. Finish your degree, there's no easy way out.

What help is there to retrain as an adult in the UK?

We Answered:

The only way from him to improve his chances to get a better career is to return to education either full or part time.

Alot of people haven't got the money to pay for expensive training courses but still manage it, suppose it all depends on the willingness & determination to succeed & improve.

Good luck whatever you decide
