Well, my life's passion is writing. I've wanted to be an author, a poet, a playwright and an essayist for as long as I can recall. I'd like to try screenplay-writing and journalism as well, some day.

I'm off to college this year, majoring in Creative Writing and Literature, and trying to concentrate on finally finishing my novel / getting published.

Course, I'm interested in the Arts in general- music, art, drama. So even if I don't base my career on any of these, I will definitely incorporate them into my work somehow.
I'd also like to do some teaching. I love interacting with people. It gives you the impetus to write.

I would recommend becoming a nurse and maybe a nurse practitioner (so you can prescribe medicine). Nurses are always in short supply and they make really good money. Though both of your other ideas seem really good too. Maybe you could try and find an internship at a hospital where you could see what the different positions are and what they do. That might give you a better idea.
