quit thinking of all the negitve first off..moving especially for your career can be such a exciting time.....start to do research in places of interest and the history of the city and seek out measums and resturants......give yourself the ok to be scared..anyone can be the victim of crime at any time..so just be prepared and be careful..dont go out alone at night,keep your doors locked, check around your car before getting in etc....get yourself enrolled into self defence classes as soon as you get there..very afordable, something to do, and you will get the peace of mind knowing if something did go wrong you will know how to handle it....take control of your fears and once you do you will be amazed how much better life can be

There are also quite a few non-profit organizations that provide free career counselling services. You can find a list of them on the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities website: http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/tcu/search.…

If you're currently studying at (or have studied at) a college/university, you can also consult with the career centre there. They often have the best resources available to current/alumni students.
