A career in the Submarine Service (UK, but all welcome to answer)? We Answered:
They will subject you to severe screening before assigning you to the silent service as they want to make sure that you can take the long hours being confined with the other guys when submerged for weeks at a time.I know that the UK has an excellent Royal Navy, although I never served with them, I had wanted to join the US Navy and be assigned to the Silent Service as a diver, but my Dad had other plans for me in so far as service life goes.
Wound up in the USMC, but if I had been allowed to select the branch to enlist in, I would have chosen the US Navy, since I already knew how to scuba dive, underwater photography and some demolition work.
Good Luck in the Royal Navy and remember it takes team work to win.

Jobs Advertised on Career Builder for Shipping/Receiving Managers by EM Service Company, London, UK.?We Answered:
Thanks for this and keep posting these warnings and watching for future postings from this company on job boards so you can report them and have the postings removedIts a reshipping scam usually run by the Russian mafia, dont touch this. There is no such company in the UK and no London numbers start with 01332. They are all 0207 in WC2. And real companies dont use free gmail addresses. That address is a Radisson hotel http://www.bhrc.co.uk/radisson-edwardian…

I want a career in the Amublance Service (UK), please can someone help me?We Answered:
Hi,Different ambulances services have slightly different entry and training criteria, but qualification wise you should be fine. Most ambulances services do not expect you to have first aid training or knowledge prior to joining. Most ambulance services have one or more of these three means of entry.
Some recruit directly to paramedic degree, meaning that you work for them, but also study full time for a paramedic degree. I don't know anyone that has done this, so I'm afraid my knowledge of this is not very good.
Some services do what is called direct entry to technician. This is where you start to work for them and they train you immediately to become a technician. The training is normally about 12 weeks. After this initial period of training (assuming you pass the exams and assessments) you will then be a trainee technician. As a trainee you will work on the ambulances alongside experienced members of staff for a year doing further assessments until you qualify.
Other services require you to work on their patient transport services first. Patient transport is basically taking non-critically ill people to and from hospital for routine appointments and treatment. Some services like you to do this for some months before allowing progression to technician.
This is how I understand things from the ambulance service that I work for, but different services may all do things slightly differently.
Progression within the ambulance service nationally is now great. After technician you can do further training to paramedic and even after this there are further steps you can take. Clinically you could train further and become a critical care paramedic or a paramedic practitioner or an emergency care practitioner. Very basically, these are all paramedics with further skills and qualifications to be able to treat a wider range of things and perform more procedures etc. If you don't want to do this you can decide to go down the management line within the service.
Hope this helps!

Will the McCanns be investigated by Uk Social Services now that they have admitted sedating their children? We Answered:
UK social services aways sit back and watch when a child is at risk. There was a case this week of a torched child was killed by his step mother! No one ever gets sacked! In fact one was over the Victoria C. case, because she couldn't be arsed to go around. But she won an appeal???And they wont because they are middle class!
