Customer Service Representative Careers
Vivian Said:
Is it worth the risk to work as a Customer Service Representative? We Answered:
I say go for it. I work at a place where I am on the phone all day and do partly customer service. It's not so bad, and it feels really rewarding to help someone get their problem solved. Yes there are times when people are really mean, but it's not like they can jump through the phone. As long as the new job is a better opportunity then do it. If you decide it's not the right place for you to be then you can always change jobs later on. You will never know unless you try. I wish you the best of luck and hope you find what your looking for.
And maybe the new job will have dual moniters so you can surf the net and work at the same time :)

Who remembers when politically correct terminology started? We Answered:
The process, to my recollection, began in the early 1980's and progressively expanded.By 1987 I noted newspaper articles refering to the newly emerging trend of "PolCorEng" which stood for Politically Correct English. A multitude of community interest groups got on board promoting its non-dicriminatoy aspects.
Via its adoption by government beauracracies it son permeated the wider society and became mandatory use in some situations.
By 1991-92 the most strident promoters of it were the feminist movement who hijacked its anti-discrimination intent aspects and bent the idea to their use.
This resulted in a major backlash from mainstream society.
As with many new social innovations it was corrupted by those who most had something to lose or change.
The ignorant, rednecks and long established conservatives found it too challenging to their mindsets.
Through derisive, overly excessive and hypocritically bizarre applications the original intent has been perverted.
The result has been that those whom most needed to observe its use in order to prevent stereo-typical stigmatising of the socially disenfranchised blithely ignore it.
The considerate, polite, equalitarian observers -- who by their actions had no need of it -- feel constrained and afflicted by it.
Ultimately, the inherent irrationality of humanity will always find ways to salve its insecurities through specious stereo-typing of the locally non-mainstream in order to unacknowledge and take responsibility for addressing a "problem".
