Find A New Career

Theresa Said:

how do I find a new career at 60?

We Answered:

Since you have experience in operations... if you have some savings, I would suggest you consider owning your own business.

Look around your area for businesses for sale or consder a franchise.

The key is to find a business that is highly systematized already so that you can apply your process expertise.

Do you think its time for Albert Pujols to find a new career? Can he cook?

We Answered:

No yet, his wife is a great cook and he owns a restaurant in St Louis, so he might be a good cook. I want him to win more MVP's than Bonds and hit more HR to break Aaron' record then we can crown a true champion...................

How do you find a new Career?

We Answered:

After having been in the same career for 15 years i eventualy began looking for something new and more fulfilling. The first question you have to ask is what interests me? once you answer that question the path becomes more clear. for me it was going from computer operations work to become an EMT. Once i decided that i wanted to know more about the field i threw myself into research, going to local fire departments, finding out about the training and what volunteer opportunities there are to get my feet wet. I have since been certified while still working at my current job, i volunteer with a rescue squad and do some volunteer work at a local emergency room at a hospital. i am working towards getting into the FD or a private ambualnce service but am content to keep my current job until an opportunity i like comes along. But you must ask yourself that first question.
