How can I get hired by an airline as a food service personnel? We Answered:
AIRPORT FOOD SERVICE JOBSAirport Food Service Duties
Food service personnel include cooks, food preparation agents, kitchen helpers, dishroom workers, other kitchen staff, and administrative staff.
Workers are stationed in a flight kitchen at the airport. These employees prepare and cook food for the flights. They also set up silverware, dishes, and glasses, and arrange the food in containers. Food service work is similar to working in a restaurant kitchen. Food service employees can either be hired directly by an airline or through a catering company that has been hired by the airlines to handle all of their food service needs.
Airport Food Service Qualifications
Food service can be a good place to start in the air industry since a high school diploma is usually the only requirement. All training is done on the job, and there is a lot of room for advancement. Food service employees can advance to chef, supervisor, or buyer. Many companies provide retirement plans, free meals, comprehensive insurance, and free parking at the airport. To apply, applicants should find out if a particular airline hires the positions directly or contracts out. Then apply with the appropriate office. Average starting salary: $6.50 to $8.50 an hour.

The market just topped 12000 today, what does it mean for new financial services associates just hired? We Answered:
I must admit, I don't follow this too much, but with the market at an all time high, it can't be good for individuals who make their living recommending and selling finacial services. When the market goes up, of course, the brokers are heros. When the market goes down, brokers are ZEROS. You are in at a stage, that while the market may go higher yet, be prepared, for it will soon fall, or "adjust". You may never get to be the hero before you are the ZERO.Fortunatly, you are in the insurance industry which is normally not affected quite so drastically, and as long as your company contiues to play it's claims, you'll be a HERO.

Are there any temp service or career agency that hire people as Independent Contractor instead of employees? We Answered:
I have yet to see one. Most people who work out of outfits like this want benefits. As I am job searching, I see plenty of opportunities for people like yourself - but you will have to seek them out incessantly. Try a listing like Craig's List or Backpage if you live in a major city. Hot Jobs allows you to sort out staffing firms.Laurie Said:
food service career: When fast food restaurant manager wants you to work overtime? We Answered:

Has someone hired a " Career Consultant" for advancing one's career??We Answered:
There are other ways getting career consulting for free. Try your community college... All schools have a Career Development Centers. If you’re enrolled, their are many "tests" to take which can match you to a better job or point you in an industry which better suits you. These “tests” are simply personality tests. They ask questions in a few different formats, ‘rank the answer from 1-5’ or ‘rank based on strongly agree to strongly disagree’. The questions range from personality likes/dislikes, Work Environment likes/dislikes, Daily Task Abilities, your learning style preferences… a WHOLE BUNCH of questions. The answers are put into a computer and spit out information based on the test. The information corresponds to different career industries and career positions. The info may say you might be good at construction mechanics, but your also a strong manager and from there the Career Development Director may suggest looking into the possibilities of being a “Plant Manager” or a Production Manager.
You’ll take a lot of tests, but you’ll learn about your self and may figure out the direction you want to take.
Would I hire a Career Consultant? No, all the test I spoke about can be found on the internet. You might have to pay to take some tests, but a lot of them you can take for free. The benefit of having a Career Consultant is they have the tools available to you at a one time cost, meaning no leg work for you. I would seriously look into the nearest Community College and check out the Career Development Center. If you can’t get help because you are not a student, enroll into the school [you may have to take one class]. Enrollment in the school [or just one class] will get you the best information, tools and assistance.
The Career Consultant doesn't hook you up with a job, they only help you find a job that best suits you. So they do find you a job, they just don't help you GET the job. There are some that can place you in a job, but those are FAR AND FEW. If one says they can get you job placement, ask to talk to clinets who have used his services before.
