Tyrone Said:

What are my chances of law school acceptances in the Midwest with poor GPA and decent LSAT score?

We Answered:

With the stated improvements in your record, you would have a good chance of acceptance at all the listed schools except UIUC. However, you probably would not receive any scholarship money.

Geraldine Said:

here is my resume, professional advice and constructive cristism please. need within the hour!!?

We Answered:

It's a great resume. I am in college as well as just finished my 6th term in Career Development Strategies and aced it. I too have a cumulative GPA of 3.75. My final project was to create a Career Development Portfolio (CDP) and I got a 100. Just at the bottom, put References Upon Request and have a professional reference list created in Word that way you are completely ready for anything.
Good job and good luck!

What would be a good double major for an undergrad who is already doing criminal justice?

We Answered:

If you are serious about law enforcement, then you should write the agency you want to join and ask them what they recommend for a job candidate.

It is very difficult to get into any of the agencies you mentioned. Not only do they only take the very top of the class graduates, they do very extensive background information gathering.

My daughter finally got into the Department of Defense, but it took her about 2 years. She was a straight A student from a private college, had a master's degree, and had a personal government reference. They found that she spent 2 years in England pursuing a doctorate degree and needed "proof" that she had really been out of the country going to school for those two years.

They would not accept any of the documents from the school, because they could not use documentation from another country! It took her forever to get that simple thing cleared up. Then there were numerous interviews and extensive testing.

The success rate for gaining employment to the organizations you mentioned is very low. I knew a respected police officer who had a master's degree in criminology and he was finally turned down by the CIA. You would be better "armed" to get an interview if you start working with the organization you really want to join NOW so they can advise you about your education and other areas of interest.

Christy Said:

Can't the US marshall service buy out your military contract?

We Answered:

No, a federal agency will not "buy out" a contract. You would need to work it from the military end to see if they will let you out early.
