You are not qualified to dispense legal advice. A degree in philosophy isn't very relevant to going to law school, which you will have to do if you want to be a lawyer. You will also have to pass the bar exam for your state. I must stress this again, you are not qualified to dispense legal advice, please don't try. Lawyers go through years of schooling and then must take continuing education every year. You have a degree in philosphy use that for it's intended purpose.

The positions you listed above fall under the category of Operations. Very broadly the operations side of a hotel deals with the guests after they have already made reservations or are in-house. The other side of a hotel is Sales. Sales associates/managers go out into the public and pursue leads to generate business for the hotel. The human resources function at any particular hotel varies widely on the size of the hotel. If you want to get into human resources best probably to start at a corporate office (franchise). I work in guest services for a major hotel chain. It is very challenging, but also very rewarding. I have a college degree but not in anything related to the hotel industry. Check out www.hcareers.com for information about job positions in hotels in your area. This is a good resource for both job description research and salary research.

No disrespect here, but if you did not pass your student teaching because of a disability then perhaps teaching is not the best line for you. If you have a disability that requires you missing a great deal of class time you will find that it will be difficult to get and keep a position. (I have fibro, so know how hard it can be.) Perhaps you might look into some of the private education specialist positions than offer extra help for students or even working with adults. Those tend to be less stressful and are not as strict regarding scheduling.
