Expect to get more job opportunities than if you had not joined the Marines. At the very least you will have something more to put on your resume other than HS/College Graduate and worked at Wal-Mart. Most employees appreciate the leadership abilities you gain from service. This is above and beyond whatever technical skills you gain.,Bonuses come and go. The best bonuses are in the Army as we are the biggest. No branch is the worst. It is all about what you want. If you want to be an airmen, then the Marines aren't for you. 40% of your classmates that head straight to college will either not graduate or not even return for a second year. They are mostly going to college because everyone said that is what they should do. Better to serve a tour of duty and learn what you want to do with your life. And then you will also have the GI Bill to pay for college rather than bankrupting mom and dad. Good luck! This is a big decision. Check out the site below.
