Jonathan Said:

Will I be accepted into any of these schools?

We Answered:

I think you have a shot at those schools.

Syracuse is -- by far -- the best of those universities, and will be the hardest for you to get into.

St John's is a sure thing for you -- but isn't really a very good school.

The service academies are interesting. Academically, they aren't very good. A relatively small percentage of faculty have PhDs. On the other hand, they are highly selective and do know how to turn out leaders. I've never been impressed with their academics, but have been very impressed with their graduates.

The SUNY schools are OK. The others are mediocre.

To be completely honest -- with the exception of Syracuse, I think you can do much better.

What are my chances of Getting into BYU-Provo?

We Answered:

I'd say borderline. I don't see outright rejection but I don't see them accepting you instantly either . . .

Good luck-

Leslie Said:

In your opinion, am i capable of getting into any of these colleges and if so please specify, thank you!?

We Answered:

All of them are a possibility. For USNA and USMA, that varsity sport will help. A letter will help more. Team Captain will be to your utmost advantage. The rest depends on your test scores, For the Military, you will have to pass the physical. Start early with USMA and USNA, in your junior year. The other schools on your list, especially SUNY, should be easy, John Jay, heard of but do not know what they want.

Edgar Said:

can someone please take a look at my Rutgers application essay?

We Answered:

Talk about yourself more. Don't come off as desperate. Vary your sentence structure. Use more sophisticated word choice. Lengthen all the paragraphs. Put some anecdotes in. Don't sound like every other student who wants to get in when you apply. Combine short paragraphs with similar themes or topics. Don't repeat yourself. Try to introduce a unique perspective. Take all my advice with a grain of salt.

Can i get into any of these schools?

We Answered:

Personally I think that you have a chance in ALL of the colleges that you mentioned. You seem to have good scores, GPA, and extra curricular activities. So I don't know what will be the problem if they don't accept you.

Dave Said:

Should I go back to High School or go off to College?

We Answered:

That would be a waste of time.Your first year of school is just gen eds anyway. Go to Rutgers, do really well, and transfer. That way you won't be pushed back a year. It won't look very good on your transcripts that you took a year in high school over/took 5 years to graduate. Transferring is a very easy thing to do, just get some gen eds out of the way.
