Bridges Career Test

Amber Said:

Do you think I can make a living as a crash test dummy?

We Answered:

I wouldn't advise you to dash into this, you might get board with it rather abruptly. Those original dummies, Vince and Larry, are so 1980's, though. We could use some crash test hillbillies for new research. I mean what happens in a rollover when you have 3 used refrigerators in the back of your pick-up? What about the gun rack? How stable is that thing? After an all-night binge and then a head-on collision with the Hardees drive-thru window, how much buckshot will be left for coon hunting? And what happens to dogs in the bed of the pick-up when you hit the parking meter going 55mph? I mean, is Ernie still gonna be conscious enough to scramble out and grab those coins? You don't want all that training to go to waste. I think you're on to something John. They may even want you to hit your trailer a few times to see if it changes the channel on your widescreen tv.

Need advice on whether or not to give 2 weeks notice....?

We Answered:

I would wait until everything is "free and clear" at the new job. Then wait until your next weekly review and hand them your resignation letter at that time. Be the bigger person and give them the option - you can work for 2 more weeks, if they need you to, or you can leave this afternoon. Sounds like you're on your way to a bigger and better place. Good luck.

Leroy Said:

What should I do for my career?

We Answered:

I would definitely stick with pharmacy. Pharmacist get paid very well while working great hours. My friend makes over $100 grand annually while working part time (3-4 times a week). Although the job is very mundane IMO, it doesn't involve too much stress. Also, if you excel at the sciences getting your degree should be a breeze. Take the entry level courses and see how you like it. Personally speaking, I started out as a pharmacy major and changed to finance sophomore year. Now I can't find a decent job while all my pharmacy friends are finishing up school and getting high paying jobs.
