Career Choices Quiz

Andrea Said:

Help with career choices?

We Answered:

First off -- you're not the only person trying to figure this out. I graduated from college in 2002 and I'm STILL trying to figure out my career. Know that you don't have to have every single detail worked out right now. Plans can change and adjustments can be made.

Did you also know that most college students change their major several times before settling on one? I myself switched from Psychology to English my sophomore year.

Having so many interests is great. Obviously a job in the sciences could end up paying off well, but takes a lot of time in school to get to a higher paying salary. I would see if your highschool offers a mentoring program - you would be paired with someone who can help you to discover the right path and what steps to take to get there. You might talk to your highschool career/guidance center to see what resources they have as well.

As for quizzes and websites - there are tons. Here are a few that came up when I did a search in google:

www.careerpath.com
www.payscale.com

Anyway, I don't know if any of this was helpful - but you're a step ahead of the game by thinking about all of this now. :) Good luck to you!

Fun and Creative Career choices??

Nothing wrong at all going the course that you look like you are going to choose. It seems you into fashion and the career path is always changing.

You could also go into sales with your outgoing personality. High end fashion sales.

Why not open your own makeup and stlying salon. I would pick this for you.

While this is not your career path, I have been going to same barber for 20 years due to the fact that he cuts my hair correctly, but most importantly he is funny as all get out.

The Myers-Briggs is a good one. Be careful, a lot of websites with career and personality tests want to charge money.
