Career Compatibility Test

Donna Said:

I want to be a teacher but..?

We Answered:

Save up for college would be the first step. With different classes you can decide what you career path you may or may not want to follow. A teacher may not pay great but when the kids get older it can have its benefits. Like once they are old enough for elementary school you can enroll to teach at that same school. Then you leave when your kids do and get home around the same time they do as well. They wouldnt have to take the bus either. They could stop by your room after school and once you are done prepping your room for the next day you all can go home. Then you also get off the same vacations they do. It may not pay great but you could be around your kids more and wouldnt have to have anyone take care of them while you are off at work.

How do I not let past events make me feel jaded?

We Answered:

I know exactly how you feel. I dated a string of guys like that from when I was 18 up until the time I met my husband at 26. I dated guys that were emotionally shallow and looking for the "perfect" woman. Well, I couldn't live up to that because I'm not perfect. :) Although, I am a good catch. :) Anyway, I finally met a decent guy. He is Catholic, so we started going to church together and I found this to be a really fulfilling experience. Probably because he grew up in the religion that teaches marriage as a good thing. :) And to value things other than how wealthy one's family is and how "perfect" someone's looks are. He saw ME for who I am. Not what I was lacking. I would never push religion on someone. All I can say is that the catholic men are good people. (I'm sure other religions too). Why not try meeting someone through church?

Significance of IQ...?

We Answered:

it is a predictor of school success.....many factors influence ones success in any field....and a high IQ doesn't account for those overachievers who may not be as smart but have a high work ethic and work twice as hard as those lazy students who take school for granted.
If you want to be a surgeon, go for it and be prepared to compete intellecutally with all the other high IQ people.
