Hi friend,There is no core application development in any IT Industry in India. S/W testing is useful in R&D department of any IT Industry. If you are able to learn any new testing technology @ your current firm you may continue it for few more months. Its not always true that development guys alone get hype. Hype depends only on the firm to which you work. I dunno who said you testing is low skill job. What developers here do as enhancements is just debugging. If your firm uses old technologies, you may look for some other companies using your experience @ testing firm.
