Personality/career tests don't help me?We Answered:
First of all, career and personality tests cannot tell you an awful lot. A career test may give you an idea of what may suit you, but it has no magical properties that tell exactly what you should do.Your feelings of uncertainty is not abnormal. Many people have this feeling. It may seem like all of your peers are certain of what they want, but this could be an illusion.
You sound young. This means you have time to try out some things and change your mind. Many people start a course thinking that they are interested in it, only to find out that they are not. This could be true for your peers. The thing is, you always have the option to change. Look at the list of majors that your college provides. Research some of the options that may be of interest. If absolutely nothing is of interest to you, or you don't even have any curiosity toward any of the majors, then maybe college is not for you. Sometimes taking a year off to find yourself can help.
You may also want to talk to your peers. Ask them why they are interested in their subject. The feelings they describe may trigger something within you.
Also, there is nothing wrong with you. Uncertainty is a common human feeling, especially with major life decisions.
