How would you go about voicing refusal of medications as treatment?

We Answered:

Just say no. I have an Autistic 9 year old, who may also have a touch of Tourettes. He is mid-range functioning, and is for the most part, non-verbal. I have refused any drug treatments for him, as while they may control one behaviour, they are likely to bring out several new ones, which will probably be worse than the original. Not to mention the dependency issue many of the drugs associated with Autism carry. I have a 23 year old Autistic brother, whom my parents took the drug treatment route with. The specific course he was on, caused him to grow larger than normal. He is over 6'4 and 300lbs. He has violent mood swings, and spends a good majority of the day in a daze. All side effects from the drugs that they can now never take him off of.
There are many good routine based therapies out there. I will be back in a few minutes with a couple great web sites for you. Good luck.

International relations major, foreign language dilemma?

We Answered:

Well, you've got it down if you can speak Mandarin. That's where the demand is.

Don't learn Russian. Even though it's a cool language, many many people know how to speak, so the job opportunities are limited.

Go with French. Not only is it spoken in Europe, but it's popular in some parts of Africa.
