More surprised by Ganguly's selection..comments..?

We Answered:

I was never a fan of Kiran More's selection policies. Everybody knows that seniors are now going to be phased out soon. But, in an all important series like this against Australia and England, if the key players like Sourav and rest other seniors are not there, then it would be impossible for India to win the series.

Fielding is not the only criteria in winning a match. You need to have the skills, the temperament, the determination and the experience like these seniors have got to win a match against the best teams in the world.
The youngsters, no doubt will have to face the best teams in the coming times, but you cannot let go the experience just like that when they still have it in them. I am definitely backing the seniors and I feel that they are going to make their presence felt in the coming series now.

Btw, its a good decision by Srikkanth to bring Dada back into the side...although for a limited time.

Royal Navy selection: what is an 'RT' test?

We Answered:

reasoning test - its like an aptitude test to determine what branch youre suitable for. for example aircraft technicians have a minimum of 68 out 120, the easiest branch to get into is the stewards

120 is your max, and dependant on your score, they assess the options available for you.

theres differing things; eng, maths, mechanical etc just to see how you get on. they arent too hard so dont panic

its an aptitude test - my husbands just applied for a branch change and redid his test - he got 107 - so hes in for aircraft technician, (AET) he was a submariner

dont listen to MC hes takin the pss lol

good luck!!

How long is the selection process for correctional officers ?

We Answered:

Testing should take approx. 2 to 3 hours but it can go longer. Most agencies will tell you to set aside the whole day for the process.

You will have a background to clear, psych eval, drug screen, physical, and a polygraph to deal with. The depth of the background check can vary, and as such, will be what takes most of the time. How the agencies schedule all the testing will take time, as well. They may schedule them over a space of a week or may wait to build a pool of applicants and then schedule mass tests.

On a fed level you may face multiple interviews: a singular interview, then a panel interview. Maybe even at a state level, just depends on the agency's hiring standards.

The hiring process can also change if you are being hired by a private run institution as opposed to a state funded facility.

At minimum I would say 2 to 4 weeks, but a couple of months is possible.

Airmen selection test (RAF)?

We Answered:

Do not panic. The selection test is just that. It is not a pass or fail test, it is simply used to determine what type of work you would be best suited to. Just relax and do your best.

edit. Would whoever gave the thumbs down care to enlighten me as to why they did so. I was a recruitment sgt. and frequently administered these tests.

Anyone know any good career-related jokes?

We Answered:

Do you know how many computer programmers it takes to change a light bulb?

It can't be done it is a hardware problem.

Three accountants applied for a job and it was a one question test. The question was how much is 2+2.
The first answered 3 and was told they would let him know
The second answered 4 and was told they would let him know
The third came really close and whispered, "how much do you want it to be" He was hired on the spot.

Discuss It!
