Career Test Quiz
Jared Said:
I am trying to find a good career test or quiz but most online don't help and I'm trying to choose a majorWe Answered:
Well you know your stengths and weaknesses. Look when I was looking for a Major, I looked first at what subjects I was good in...usually denoted by really good grades. And then I looked to what intrested me.This settled me on Audiology because, I have always had an intense intrest in people like Helen Keller and working with Deaf People. It was an excellent fit for me as I love my job.
A friend of mine did that and noticed from report cards that he had the best job in English and he knew he liked to write. He is now a Technical Writer for a company and loving his job.
What I don't like are career tests because, they don't know you. I took one that told me I would be an excellent Accountant. The problem it didn't take into account is that my math scores were horrible and I really hate anything to do with math. I had another friend who took one and it told her that she was completely unsuited to a profession like Dance. Too bad it didn't take into account that she was being groomed to be a Prima Ballerina by the city's Ballet Company.
So, look for what you are good in (Heck you don't need a test for that, just look at past report cards) and what intrests you (your career is too important to do something you hate) to narrow down from there what major you should choose. Good Luck.
