Glenn Said:

What types of careers should I avoid if I have borderline personality disorder?

We Answered:

As long as you avoid any personalities on borderlines you should be fine. Take a job that is no where near any borders.

What are the best careers for an ENFP personality type?

We Answered:

It is easy to become bored in any job. It is also easy to become burnt out in the health care field, especially in mental health. You need to ensure that you are taking time out for yourself and that you have balance in your life.

There is no shame in changing careers. According to your ENFP profile, you need to have variety in your life, and there are jobs that offer that, depending on your interests. Flight attendants and tour guides get to travel to new and exciting places, depending on where you work. Wedding planners and event coordinators get to work on short-term projects with a foreseeable end. Fundraising consultants are often hired by non-profit organizations on short-term contracts from 3 months to 2 years. And there are many other fields that also offer short-term contracts. You can keep yourself focused on projects by keeping checklists.

Your enthusiasm and abillity to inspire and motivate people are rare gifts and would be useful in any of the above-mentioned jobs, but you also need to find out what motivates you and create that excitement in your own world. If you don't have a lot of excitement or motivation in your worklife, you can try to ensure that you have things to look forward to in your social life, and also learn to take pleasure in even the smallest accomplishments.

An ENFP usually has a need to be liked by everyone, and you should know that this is an impossibility. You may be wary of jobs where you may be intimidated by hard-to-please people, e.g. wedding planner. Taking assertiveness training and relaxation classes could be helpful.

Good luck with your choices.

What are the best careers for Thinker personality types?

We Answered:

I work with allot of thinkers in the accounting field. I've also known several who have worked in Tax Law, as Business analysts, and you can usually find one on any good Research and development teams. In fact every good team needs a good thinker to foresee the problems ahead before you get to them.

Go Thinkers!

Alberto Said:

What are some good careers for an enfp personality type that wants to travel?

We Answered:

Anything that interests you, mind, this is actually quite important for ENFPs. If you don't know what interests you, journalism is a career that many ENFPs find rewarding and it involves substantial travel. ENFPs also tend to enjoy anything involving creativity, like acting and art, so any job along those lines that requires travel would fit the bill. One job to avoid unless you are wildly interested in it is business. You do have to travel a lot, but business is one of the careers that is least suited for the ENFP type. Hope this helped!
