Choose A Career Test

Gerald Said:

What career should I choose based on my career test?

We Answered:

What interests you? Just because you score well in math, doesn't necessarily mean you like to devote your career to math. I have always wanted to work on cars and enjoyed science classes like physics, math, geometry. Today, 20 years later, I wish I selected a different field. Engineering work turned out to be really boring and not rewarding, and limited to certain states. So, think about what you like best keeping in mind that your tests tell you what you will be good at.

Sandra Said:

How can I choose a career?

We Answered:

Write down the pros and cons of each job. Consider hours and pay. You might want to call some doctors, vets and schools and see if you can job shadow for a day in each field. After seeing the person do the job for a whole day it might give you some perspective. Also, when you job shadow, ask the person some questions. Like, why did they choose this field? If they had it to do over again, would they do something different? What kind of person does best in this field? What does he/she think is the best thing about the job? The worst thing? Your library should have a section on careers that might help.

how do u choose testing as a career? as a fresher how can i reply?

We Answered:

First get to know about company and domain for which you are being recruited. atleast at high level, u should know company is whether into finance or telecom or networking etc... say,
"I have deep interest in that domain and would like to dig more by joining reputed company like yours. Also, since I am from technical background, it will be easy for you to understand both side of software (development and testing) and hence gain more in lesser time.
