Visit the military and tell the Navy or Air Force recruiter that you want to be tested to see what specialties you might qualify for, a complete listing. Then look over the list carefully and pick what you like best.You don't have to actually enlist. Many private companies also use these tests.
A well known one is called MMPI or something like that. The psychologists and guidance counsellors should be able to help you find one.
An online test will not have the same value and could be very self-deceiving if you do not exactly follow the rules. However these must also exist somewhere.
Much of what you pull up online is places trying to sell you stuff, often it may be of little value except for providing an income for the provider.
You should favor real testing by professionals mentioned rather than online.
But you can also try googling "online aptitude tests" or "free online aptitude tests" etc. . .
Search Yahoo Answers using 'apprenticeship'
'work study'
'career opportunities' -- very valuable answers already given, including by me (also in my questions).
Wherever you end up, keep clicking things off. You never stop learning even when you are very old. Not unless you enjoy being the last of the last.

The real results of these tests are not what they think your career should be, but to see what you should be to go for your career of choice.You have more than forty years in a career, whereas you've only done less than 20 years of training (school). You have not yet fully developed your personality yet, and you are not an old dog yet either, so you can change your ways.
If you are already in a job you dislike, make sure what yu dislike is the job or the company - then go from there. Just remember a career is not a single job or position, but a path.
