Princeton Career Test

Billie Said:

CAN ANYONE WHO LOVES ENGLISH EDIT MY LETTER PLEASE?

We Answered:

I'm sorry, but it would take a long time to fix it all and I can't really do that over the computer. It rambles, it repeats itself, it hops back and forth between incidents and subjects, the grammar and punctuation are poor, and I suspect that it includes a lot of unnecessary detail as well as being at least twice as long as it needs to be. I believe this is meant to be an application, not a confession. Frankly, if this is an example of your writing, I'd say you're not ready for college anyway.

What are the best books to prepare for the GRE. To help understand the test, practice and get high scores?

We Answered:

I am in the same situation, however I am going for my PhD. Go to this site, it gives weekly tests, samples, and updates.

Vocabulary is my weakest point, I am using the GRE note cards.

Do I have a shot at being admitted to Princeton University?

We Answered:

I honestly think you have a chance. You're clearly intelligent, well-rounded, passionate, and interesting. At that level, admissions are basically a crapshoot. But you have a shot.

Difficulty of the ASVAB? (Math portion)?

We Answered:

I'm a Coast Guard recruiter. It will actually depend on the office where you live. The "minimum" is 45 AND you have to qualify for at least one "A" school. You won't get in just because you met the minimum. You will need to score at least a 65, and in some locations much higher, just to be considered.

Can I get into Harvard, MIT, Princeton?

We Answered:

Well, you certainly sound like someone who is extraordinary at prioritizing. I believe you could get into any college of your choice: I'm sure you can ask head of admissions in roughly any college there and find out if you can join as an undergrad as a sophomore, based on your virtuosic singing abilities. Sorry, I mainly just looked at your music history.

If you're looking just into the Ivy League schools (which you have a reallllly good shot in getting into), you probably know this already; find out if you actually would like the head of whatever you're majoring in, because you'll have to end up working with them for most of your college years.

Make sure you apply now, because I'm -certain- college scouts and people like that are looking for someone with your potential, even at sophomore grade.

hope this helps! (:

Am I Good Enough For Princeton University?

We Answered:

Dude... you sound like you would rock any college app. Your grades are great, and you'll probably have the test scores to match. You need at least 3 subject tests for Princeton. I would suggest Math 2 (it's not hard at all) and whatever else floats your boat. Try not to sound as desperate to attend to the admissions folks as you do here... be enthusiastic about going, but not so much that it becomes the focus of your application. And if you aren't accepted, don't be surprised. No one is guaranteed anything. Keep up the good work, and maybe I'll see you on campus!
