Short Career Aptitude Test

Dale Said:

Whats the difference between Enlisted and Reserves for marines?

We Answered:

As far as reserves go, you will be working one weekend a month and two weeks a year. This will provide you with an opportunity to pursue a civilian career or eduaction. Also, you will be able to receive point for promotion per class you take. If you decide that you'd rather go full-time, you have the option to switch over.
Also, when you sign up in the reserve, your job is garunteed. Your MOS will determine where you are stationed,
And, boot camp is stressful, but manageable. When you go through it, you will hate life. But, when it's over and you look back, you'll laugh about it. And, you are correct. Life after boot camp will get easier. The Marine Corps teaches you misery in basic training in order to acustom you to the phycological stresses of combat.
As far as your asthma, if it's sports incuded, you may or may not get a waiver. I know one girl who joined and one guy who was rejected. I'm not certain about that issue. Glasses are ok. I used to wear glasses before I had LASIK.
The military in general will enhance your career opportunities. As opposed to your average college student who does what he's told, the Marine Corps will teach you discipline, organization, and initiative as well as give you confidence.

Anna Said:

I need help finding a degree that is best for me!?

We Answered:

The best way to know what to major in is honestly to just enroll and take a variety of classes, even ones you don't know you will like. When I started, I was sure my choice major would be journalism, but ended up switching to something completely different in a field of science. I never would have expected that for myself until I started broadening my range of study. Go for it! Good luck.
