Teenage Career Test

Shane Said:

can you give me your honest opinion on my college application essay?

We Answered:

I don't want this to sound harsh, but i swear to you that this criticism is constructive and will help you in the long run.

You come off arrogant, cynical, and a bit condescending. You are trying to market yourself to a college as an honest, intellectually curious individual, but when I read your essay i got the impression that all the realizations you came upon in highschool (that you didn't care about memorizing facts, or going to a prestigious university, etc) were just ways for you to justify not succeeding.

Sounds harsh, huh? It is harsh. Here's the good news.

Your essay is written well, you clearly know how to string words together in a cohesive and compelling manner. Why do you have to set up your opinions on education as a reaction to not doing well? For example, why not just explain how you feel about success and education without the self deprecating statements like "I cannot say I’ve completed every homework assignment that was given, or passed every test. I cannot say I’ve aced Honors Physics, or achieved a 4.5 GPA. I definitely cannot say I’ve figured out how to be an organized and productive member of society."

this essay can definitely be salvaged and it is a good first draft. keep working at it!

Ron Said:

Am I suffering from teenage depression?

We Answered:

You should always talk to a doctor if you feel depressed.
As for you're second question: no, online tests are not reliable and are not meant to diagnose depression.
Legally speaking, whether or not you are on anti-depressants usually will not have an affect on your career, but I'm pretty sure it varies by state.
But regardless of whether or not this will have an affect on your career choice you should still talk to your doctor. Your health and well being should take precedent over everything else.

Alternative Modeling Weight?

We Answered:

I have to agree. Weight is has nothing to do with fashion or glamour.

A well proportioned body is most important. Many of the fitness models I shoot would seem overweight if you just looked at their statistics.

As you know, muscle is much more dense than fat, so a muscular girl is going to have some more weight on her, yet look very svelte and proportional.

Find some local photographers who shoot TFP sessions and shoot with as many as you can. I am sure many of them shoot for alternative and fetish venues, so will be able to help you build a good book that shows your various looks.

Good luck

Dale Said:

is what im going through normal???????????

We Answered:

Yes this is normal you're having some regrets and jelousy towards how others have lived their life. Believe me not being a teenager is much more fun, now you'll be able to legally go to clubs and bars, if you want. and meet soo many more people.

Do yourself a favor, take a trip wherever you've ever wanted to go, Australia, new Zealand wherever talk to 20 new people everyday.

open up don't shut the doors before you walk through them

Victor Said:

Possibly pregnant, 26, unmarried, long-term relationship.. can I do this?

We Answered:

You never really feel prepared. Even if you have the perfect situation, there's always at least one factor that makes it lousy timing - just moved, still have to move, new job, new diet, etc.

My totally subjective opinion? Please get married. Your child deserves to be born into a family of committed adults who want to build a home together. Don't say you won't "just for the baby". I can't think of a reason that deserves more weight than your child's future! Yes, it's terriying to jump in to marriage and parenthood in the same year, but that's the way it has to be done if you want to build a family together. You two will always have a connection that can't be broken, once you have a child together.

Encourage your boyfriend to talk to other men he respects who are fathers. It's important for him to see how normal it is to feel shocked or worried about this. Every Dad I know has had some trouble adjusting to the idea of fatherhood. So has every Mom, for that matter.!

Congrats on your baby-to-be.

Esther Said:

I think I am suffering from teenage depression?

We Answered:

Dear One, Follow your dreams. Join the army and become a police officer. I think you would be bored driving trucks all of your life. If the only thing holding you back is math, get a tutor like I did. I had a tutor in junior college and at the university, and they work wonders! I even passed stats. I would look at the equation, and it would blend together. With help from a tutor, I passed. If I did it, so can you. Get a tutor so you understand math, and take hold of your dreams. As far as we know, we only get one chance in this life, and doing what we love for a living IS the dream. Don't give up - go for it! Take good care.
