Carla Said:

Where is a good career test at?

We Answered:

Here are two really good FREE career tests you can take. They are both great as I have taken them both. I think if you answer honestly, this will give you a really good idea of a couple careers you would be really good at. Try them out!

Good luck

Mark Said:

What college could I get into? :D?

We Answered:

Your grades are good and your clubs are good. That is good news :) There is a little more information a college needs though, such as your class rank. Class rank is important because some schools grade harder/easier than others. Continue to study hard and keep involved with groups and activities.

Another piece of the puzzle is your ACT/SAT test. That is a large factor (probably too large) for college entrance. You could have really bad grades and score a 1600 on your SATs and pretty much go to any college you want. The valedictorian of my high school class, on the other hand, couldn't get in to a great (Ivy League any way) university because her SATs were below average. So the SATs or ACTs will be important.

Also, the application itself is important. For Ivy League schools, and some others, you will have to have professors fill out evaluations of you, conduct an interview, and write an essay. This application process is important for your acceptance to the school.

So there are a lot of pieces to the puzzle. The best thing to do is keep studying, keep involved, take an SAT or ACT prep class, make sure you have stellar relationships with a couple teachers (to do recommendations), and when you apply make sure your essay is flawless.

As one other note, take your SAT or ACT early. This is good because you can retake it in case you have a bad day. It is really important to understand how the SAT or ACT functions and how it is graded...so take a prep class if you are serious...and study study study vocabulary! And of course go over your math...

Hope this helps.

what career is right for me?

We Answered:

Sounds like you might want to look into physical therapy or something similar. It's very hands on and you get to work directly with all sorts of people.

Since you mentioned test scores & grades it sounds like you would prefer intellectual stimulation, and this field requires you to know all about anatomy, physiology, and various techniques for helping people recover after sports injuries or certain surgeries.

Douglas Said:

is there a test or quiz out there that can determine what job/career you are right for?

We Answered:

Here is a link to a free quiz. There are probably better ones at a community college career center, but at least this could give you an idea.
