The idea has great allure but that means trusting the Gov to not hack off yet another task. When was the last time the US gov got something right?

Think of the endless lawsuits from people rightfully or wrongfully kept from voting.

The idea though is a good one if there was any possible way to actually fairly implement it and in such a way that actually required voter education. Would be quite reasonable to be able to recall a candidates stance on at least a few major issues in order to vote. Or to know at least key pieces of our Constitution.

Though cheat sheets would be given out by various politicos and thus nullify the whole concept. Those who are clueless would just use the cheat sheets and the lawsuits would make every election quite expensive and that assumes good intent and honest application of questions. Can you see for example Jessie Jackson or Jerry Falwel for example getting to design questions? Can you picture what kind of "correct" answer you'd need to pass a quiz put out by the Obama or Bush administrations? The objectivity is just not there in the media any more so it could not be turned over to them. So who would you trust to design it?

Each university has its own admission procedures. You will have to ask the university of your choice what their procedure entails.

From your English, it seems you may be a native speaker of another language and as such you may be outside of the United States. If so, US perspectives won't help you much. (Only a few U.S. airlines still give such tests but the FAA does not.)

If that is the case, there may be a psychiatric and aptitude test" given by your country to pilot candidates. You will need to go to the website of your country's governing aviation authority to check.

There is also a possibility that such tests are given by your nations airlines to those they may potentially hire. You should go to this website and do a search of the topics to find out about such tests given by the airlines in your country: http://www.pprune.org

Aptitude test show natural inclinations towards certain abilities. It is not a measure of whether you will succeed or not.

With proper training and work on your part, you will do as well or better than a person who scores high on an aptitude test. They are not a measure of how hard a person will work at something.

Remember, Albert Einstein scored low on his aptitude test for higher education and his teachers thought he had sub standard learning abilities, and should be sent to a trade school instead of college.
