Has anyone taken a Deloitte personality test?

We Answered:

It is a list of simple questions about what you like or not etc,
the idea is to find out if e.g. you are an extrovert or introvert, organised or not,
and to see if your personality type fits in with the job. It has nothing to do with how smart you are,
and there is no right or wrong answers.
If e.g. you are an introvert, it would not make sense to appoint you in a job where you have to socialise and entertain people all the time.

A very popular test is the Myers-Briggs typology test, you can see and do it yourself here:

PS: Deloitte is a company doing personality tests, there is no "Deloitte test" as such.

Help? I have to take a personality test for new position at work!?

We Answered:

There is no way to ace it. There are no right answers or wrong answers, there are only " you" answers.
For example, there maybe a question, do you prefer yellow or blue.
So, which do you prefer??? There may be a question, do you prefer working with a a large group of people, in which you may only have a brief contact with most of Gem or work in a small group in which you interact often with the people around you???
Would you rather go to a baseball game or an art museum???
You see, there are no right or wrong answers. So, would you rather go to a baseball game or the art museum?? I can understand you feeling uncomfortable about a test like this. Me? Either one is fine with me?
Just relax, and be honest. The idea is,in this example, to see if you are more comfortable within a large group, or a small group. Good luck

what are acceptable personality tests/games for the work environment?

We Answered:

Lots of people use the Myers Briggs Type indicator. But you have to be certified to use it. The Keirsey temperament sorter would work too. They are both geared towards more educated populations.

We just used the Strengths finder at work - sort of like a Cosmo quiz and really positive. Check it out.

I am attaching a link to several types of personality inventories.

Good Luck!

How does this personality test work again?

We Answered:

I believe it goes something like this:
You're walking along a path in the woods, describe the path.
(This is basically your outlook on life)

You get to an obstacle; a tree has fallen down in front of you. What do you do?
(How you react to obstacles)

After a while you come to a...house? Desribe the house.
(Erm..can't remember this one)

There's some form of water here; a lake, river, etc. Describe.
(Sorry, can't remember that either)

Erm...you come across an animal. Write about it.
(lovely memory I've got, eh?)

You carry on, and come to a wall. Describe the wall, your feelings about it; what do you do when you come to the wall?
(Death.)

That's what I can remember from when an English teacher gave us this to do..it's something psychologists use isn't it?
Shame I don't have it with me though.
Something along those lines, anyway. ;) Hope it helps.

I'll have a look on the internet; I'm on a two-week Spring break..will have an answer for you in a mo

I can't find the exact one, though these may help:

Thankyou for the points.. =]

How do those personality question tests work?

We Answered:

The problem is....how many people, when answering, are truly HONEST about "who" they are and "which" personality trait they're willing to tell about?

And questionnaires abound on the internet, on dating sites, IQ test areas, even on magazine sites where you are answering a "short survey" to enter contests! I answered one just the other day....asking me all sorts of questions about an issue I'd just gotten in the mail.... One of the questions was "Which publication is your favorite decorating magazine?" Okay, I'd been answering to get to the end for entry to win a car.....and I had THEIR magazine in my lap (just came in the mail that day)....which one do you think I put down as my favorite??!??

So you see what I mean about "honesty"? Although many people will be honest with themselves while taking it....most choose "middle of the road" on answers that if answered might make them look either obsessive (most strongly) or not caring (not strongly at all), depending on the tough question at that moment.

I've recently put myself on a dating site (don't ask!)...and have put off taking a "personality" test to see "who" I'm better suited towards. Hmm...well, I wouldn't be on there if I didn't have trouble finding someone where I live (Savannah) that suits me to a tee. But to take one, and truly answer everything from the heart and mind with the truth? No guy reading the results would want to come NEAR me!! (just kidding, but you HAVE to wonder, don't you??)

So do I answer, for once...as completely honest as I can, and hope that some man loves my OC nature (when it comes to organization of my kitchen cabinets and desktop-it ends there, house is comfortably cluttered), who embraces my rather off the wall sense of humor and laughs when I do (I sometimes laugh ALL alone at things most don't find amusing), who is willing to grab hold of my shirttails and follow me as I eagerly explore this world of ours (always going here and there, too much to sit at home and miss it all)....or tweak a few and sound like someone they'd enjoy meeting who wouldn't scare them away on a first date??

Best to be honest, be WHO I am (and who YOU are)...who cares, if they can't accept you for YOU, then what's the point of being YOU?

do personality test work?

We Answered:

ooh i know what personality test you took... the Jung personality test.. i took the same one and i'm an INTP.
well for 1% out of all the people in the world is actually quite a lot of people i think.. probably millions or just about.. plus if your mom is the same thing as you you probably inherited the personality from her and you don't get along because like things usually don't.. you know like opposites attract, like repel...
idk if the test is totally accurate but i believe it is because that carl jung guy who made the test was a very prominent psychologist.
