Alabama Employment Agency

Edith Said:

Does anyone know where I would need to begin when it comes to moving overseas to say, Britain?

We Answered:

You will need to get a work visa, which means finding an employer first. that is extremely difficult on an entry level with no experience. If you can find a job with an American company or agency that would assign you in Britain that would probably be easier than trying to find an employer to sponsor you in Britain. You don't say what your degree is in...that makes a big difference. You may have to get 2 or 3 years experience in your field in the U.S. first. The pages below may be of help. Could the placement office at the University give you some of this info?

Cynthia Said:

Will A1 employment agency get me a job for sure? Please Somebody?

We Answered:

Unfortunately, Alabama has an even higher unemployment rate than the USA in general at the current time. (Alabama 10.3% unemployed vs. USA 9.6% unemployed).

So basically you just need to keep trying and keep applying. I really doubt that this 'A1 agency' is going to do anything for you. They probably charged you a fee, right? That's how THEY stay employed.

Also unfortunately, you being in college actually REDUCES your chances of getting employed, at least for now. See, you don't have an 'open' schedule really. You would need an employer willing to work around your college class schedule - and employers don't like to do that. It is a hassle for them. They would rather hire someone who has a completely free schedule and can work any shift. And that's who they hire.

Lena Said:

is there a job agency that helps funeral directors/morticians find employment in the state of alabama?

We Answered:

i would look for a trade association for funeral directors, like the Alabama Mortician's Association or whatever it's called.

Jimmie Said:

what is the best employment agency in Alabama?

We Answered:

Any of the State Employment Centers. You could go with a temp service, but from personal experience I left a good job that traveled alot to join a temp service so I could get a job at a "certain" place that only used a temp service. Unfortunately, the job they got me fell through and they got me a another job that paid alot less and was a farther drive. When I contacted about this situation they always told me they were would be looking and would have me assigned to another job. Needless to say, after waiting n' waiting I became backed up in bills. Always waiting for that "certain" company to start hiring again. I asked if I could leave the temp service and go on my own until then. They said I'd be leaving on bad terms. Never the less temp services don't care about you, they just want your money. It took me awhile to get back on my feet but I'm alot better off.
