Apple One Temp Agency

Ricardo Said:

Staffing Agencies?

We Answered:

You've named a lot of the good ones. Call them all every day and let them know you are available.

Also, try Volt.
Also, try the professional agencies in your field.
Also, try TACTemps.

Diane Said:

Which job should I take? Would you give up working at Apple to work at a Non Profit?

We Answered:

If you don't mind having a lower salary than you would at apple, I'd say stay with the Non-profit job. It seems like you really like it and the Apple job is a mystery since you haven't actually seen what it's like to work there. You can always go for something like Apple later, there are plenty of growing tech companies out there and getting a well-paying non-profit job is tough.

Terrance Said:

How long do temp agencies keep employee info on file?

We Answered:

Your name should still be on their files. I don't think they would delete your name after 10 months. It'll take a longer period of inactivity then that. Give them a call or email your rep from 10 months ago. Let them know your situation and let them know you are in the hunt for a job again.

Don't forget to apply to other temp agencies as well. Don't get stuck with just 1 choice. Other agencies might have better jobs and higher paying jobs. Here's a place that lists a lot of temp agencies:

Good luck with your search!

How should I write my resume when I've only had one real job?

We Answered:

YES! no matter what the job is, your resume gives future employers the impression that you are serious about finding employment. A resume also provides the opportunity to highlight the skills that would be a benefit to the job your applying for. Not to mention that it lets them know that you are professional and have the skills needs to be successful in the new role. Don't omit the temporary role. Event though it was not permanent, you gained skills that may be applicable in the new position.

I hope that helps.

How should I write my resume when I've only had one real job?

We Answered:

You haven't had just one job. You were with a temp agency and, I assume, worked at a few places as a temp.

All work, even if it's unpaid or part-time, counts.
