I think it's effective for the companies, but not for most workers. It's always good to keep open minded because you don't know how you will get a job and it's always better to increase your chances. It's like the internet. Most jobs aren't advertised and most people won't get a job through the internet, but I have..3 times.

If you can find "obvious thriving businesses" let us know. Every person I know is earning less today then they were three years ago. The economy stinks for everyone. Not just you.

if you are renting tenant space you are responsible for the improvements to that space. if the building had not sold in the time that the ada was passed then the owners are not obligated to upgrade to ada compliant facilities. in short, if you want new facilities you will have to pay for them.

. I have a close 'friend' who has done some hard time for drugs and robbery. NO sex offenses. He's gotten jobs as a janitor or telemarketer by 'forgetting' to mention his criminal record. He just says he was 'self-employed' for the time he was jailed.
But almost any large company today can run a fast, cheap background check on any person. ...er, unless they're using their dead brother's id.
