Financial Aid questions.Pleeease help.?

We Answered:

There are already some good answers to your questions on here, but, had to get my 2 cents worth in. :)

If your boyfriend is supporting you and your child, then you are not providing over 50% of her support, so you probably answered that question incorrectly on your FAFSA. you could go back into your filed FAFSA now and correct that.

The college will not consider you as married, because you aren't. The will not ask for evidence (tax returns) etc of your boyfriends income, because he is not on your FAFSA.

You may be selected for a process called Verification. If so, don't freak out! This is just a process to verify that what you put on your FAFSA is correct. You will be asked to complete a verification worksheet and provide copies of your 2009 income tax return (if you filed one). If you did not file one, any income or other monies you received will be addressed on the verification worksheet. If you are selected, the college will use the worksheet and income information you provide to correct your FAFSA and properly determine your EFC for financial aid purposes.
