There are thousand and thousands of talented, experience people on the street due to the economy…the competition for any job is extreme. …people will do anything for much less just to feed their kids……..I don’t expect it to get any better before 2012……most all of these people are clean......

At least in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Labor Finders would send people out on jobs the same day that they had applied, so I don't see how they could be doing background checks on their employees. It looks like they have offices in Gurnee, Wood Dale, and South Elgin.

When you submit your unemployment claim every week or two weeks, they ask you to enter any income you've made. Your inome will be what you've made from this minus your expenses. So if this is negative, you do not have any earnings to report. If you start making a profit and have earnings, most states have a small amount you can make without penalty (in my state it is about $65 a wee). Then they start subtracting the amount over that from your unemployment check. Once you make OVER your unemployment benefit mount, you are kicked off the program.

Seems to me she is no longer representing the firm, as it no longer exists, so your problem with her is personal, and not with the firm.

Yes, it sounds like slander, but pursuing a claim against her is not likely to lead anywhere and will distract you from your job search. To keep her from slandering your name, don't give her the opportunity. Look up the current contact information for the managing partner you worked for at the firm and use his/her as a reference instead.
