Websites are a good start.........also check the newspaper ads, & other things. Maybe there's a problem with your resume? Make your resume so that you stand out from everyone else and appear moer qualified.

First you need to find the agencies which specialise in the field of work where you want to work, for eg visit here:

A quick yahoo search on recruitment agencies in new york came up with loads of answers.
Although be warned - do NOT just send your cv. You need to actually phone them - most recruitment agencies will not phone applicants who are abroad unless you are incrediibly highly skilled in one area. You may also want to book a weeks holiday in NY and tell the recruitment agencies you will be available for that week to attend interviews - to show you are serious. Believe me it can be difficult enough getting a candidate to arrive at an interview 60 miles away let alone thousands of miles. Recruitment consultants are going to dedicate their time to candidates who show some form of commitment, especially if the candidate is abroad and therefore carry a high risk to any placement. The week in NY would also be an excellent opportunity to view some properties and get a feel for living costs. Good luck.

I just graduated with an accounting degree and found a job a year before graduating.

My recomendation is that you get in touch with the school and contact some professors. They normally have insight.
