Joseph Said:

What should I do?

We Answered:

Chill out Hugh. You're young. Maybe you should take some time out before making any decisions? Do you have to decide now? Love, Nob x

Tim Said:

How much money is an unemployed 18 year old entitled to?

We Answered:

Well, here in the US it all depends on how long you have been working (lifetime) and how much money you made in that time. I would assume that would be the same in Ireland. Here, you'd make a percentage of what you would if you were still employed.

Frances Said:

Is there a NON UK resident tax fee from british Inland Revenue Commission outside UK?

We Answered:

This is a scam for so many reasons
1 - Ireland is not part of Great Britain, so why would British Immigration be involved? Ireland is its own country and has it's own immigration service
2 - As the post above says, there has been no Inland Revenue since the 1990s, it's HM Revenue and Customs
3 - NOBODY in the UK uses Western Union, that's always the sign of a Nigerian scam
4 - You NEVER contact any immigration officer. Your ONLY contact is the British Embassy in YOUR home country when you go in PERSON with your passport to be fingerprinted
5 - There is NO such thing as a NON UK Tax fee
6 - Documents DO NOT go through any custom routing inspection nor do they go through Heathrow. Documents have NO value, therefore they do not go through Customs. Besides, customs only concerns items coming INTO the UK, not leaving.
7 - there is NO such thing as online employement. If you were not flown to Ireland for an interview or did not meet IN PERSON with the hotel's authorised recruitment agency in your country, the job does not exist
8 - Hotel workers are not a "shortage occupation" or considered "highly skilled" so the ONLY way you could get a hotel job in the UK or Ireland is if you are already working for the same hotel chain in your country and come on an intercompany transfer visa
9 - Because hotel workers have access to guest rooms and financial information, you cannot get any hotel job without a police background check. Did you visit a police station in Ireland to be fingerprinted? If not, then you can't be offered any hotel job.

If you have sent money or a copy of your passport, you have to call your local police and national passport agency ASAP as you are the victim of fraud and identity theft

The people you are dealing with ARE NOT in the UK - do an IP lookup and I can guarantee they are emailing you from either West Africa or Eastern Europe

Harry Said:

moving to Canada from Ireland?

We Answered:

If I were you I would do some research on Canada before coming over here.
It is hard enough for Canadians to get jobs these days.
General Motors have laid-off thousands of Canadians, The forestry industry is in decline, the Garment manufacturing have out-sourced a lot of jobs, its very tough economically just now.
I would have to say, our winters can be a real challenge to anyone coming here from the British Isles.
Contact the government of Canada website before you make any decisions.
Good luck.

Violet Said:
