Employment Agencies Regulations

Dora Said:

'Contracting sector must adopt Agency Workers Regulations without changes'??? *look*?

We Answered:

There should be some serious investigations into employment agencies and rules and legislation should be changed.
It is true to say that there are some employers who need labour for only a short period of time and in that respect they should be allowed to take on agency staff.
Many employers see agency workers as cheap labour that they can easily fire at short notice with no costs.
Many British workers have suffered because of the lack of job security and have seen there jobs replaced by foreign agency workers employed at far lower wages. There are companies in my area that take on foreign agency workers and make them sign a contract where they must reside on company premises and pay 75% of the minimum wage they receive back in rent.It is not an uncommon practise.
It all has a knock on effect though and water has a way of finding its own level.
For instance house prices have fallen dramatically because so many people are unable to obtain a mortgage or be able to afford to pay a mortgage on the minimum wage.
Trade is suffering because people are struggling to pay household bills and have nothing left in the way of disposable income.
We then go full circle again and even more people are made redundant or see there jobs replaced by agency workers.
Unfortunately our political masters can not see these problems, and so obviously are not intelligent enough to do anything about them.
My view is that there are now so many disenfranchised people in Britain now that i do not think it will be too long before we have civil unrest

Why do Federal agencies REFUSE to regulate Federal employers?

We Answered:

Law. The federal government is not always required to follow its own regulations which apply to private industry.

Sherri Said:

What does this mean?

We Answered:

I certainly wouldnt elect to opt out of it without further information and a full understanding of what it is you are being asked to "opt out of".

Start with the site below (assuming your in the UK) but double check with a Union before agreeing to anything.
Good Luck :-)

Talent Managment modelling agency, is it a scam?

We Answered:

That is a trick to attract models (subscribers) to pay them - they might (but not likely will) have a few real jobs for thousands of *models* - so your chance is - nearly Zero.

Do not be silly to fall in the trap. Do not waste your money. If you really passionate in the modelling industry, contact the local agencies that have their business registered, and have a physical office location that you can call, and go in person. Never pay for those so called online agent, they suppose to pay you.
