First, they didn't have to pay for your maternity leave. It is the law that they hold your job position until you come back. Unless it's in their work policy, they do not have to pay for your maternity leave.

Second, no they can not report you to a central reporting agency. When you use people as reference, all the company (that's planning on hiring you) can ask your reference is if they knew you/what is their relationship to you and would they hire you again. Now the reference can say things about you but there's no agency they could report you to.

I would suggest you don't use them as a reference, and provide future companies preferred references so they don't contact your past employer.

if you haven't already registered at your local govt labor office - I recommend doing so. They will put your resume online, give you free access to computers and copy machines, and even fine tune your resume if it is not up to snuff.

Also: as bleak as this economic forecast is, x-mas should not hinge on how many toys you put under the tree.

am studying at college and i really need a part-time job to cover my expenses , i want a job that is going to be use full for me after my studies but until now i didn't get any job for the major i study i just working for 5 years as a waiter until i finish my studies
